I think the key to some of the table is clamping items in place before you screw it together. The jig makes this easy.
I see your profile picture shows you fishing. Fly rodding for trout? I just went trout fishing a week ago here in the mountains in North Carolina around Linville Falls. This is a great way to relax. Well good luck with the table and fishing.
