I read the post of both John Schaben and Jens Jensen and I would say that they gave you some very good advise. i can't add much other that say you have got something worth fixing up and using. It will give you many years of good reliable cutting. I have seen more of these earlier model radial arm saws than of the newer ones in the cabinet shops that I have visited over the years. Congradulation on picking this one up.

I always need help in downloading things on this site. I am trying to be a better woodworker. I started with using 2 bys and plywood until I get more comfidient in using hard woods like oak, maple, and such. I really want to improve my skills in woodworking. I have done some really neat stuff. I made a workbench and made smooth wooden slides for my drawers. I had a neighbor checked out my door slides and he thought that they were ball bearing slides. He was sure embressed with them. I know I sure was. Thanks again for the friend request.
