Brad Martin replied to brian lazenby's discussion 'Edge Joining 2" Boards'
"If you have an offcut I would do a test hole so you can check you not going to go through the top. Depending on your jig you may be able to mark the end grain to check the depth that way."

Brad Martin replied to Ada Berry's discussion '45 degree angles'
"I would use the square pattern dog holes in my bench with a dog fence ( could use Kreg dogs also ) and Kreg inline clamps. Ratio to get to 45D is 1:1 so say 2 holes across and 2 holes up to place a dog and 5 holes across and 5 holes up to place the…"

Brad Martin replied to art bartolomeo's discussion 'Kreg Clamp Track Location on Workbench'
"That thread has gone walk about. I have gone with edge fitting and then offsetting the 16mm melamine side to avoid the screw heads fouling it. I also have a t-trak so I can clamp boxes that runs aprox 100mm from the clamp blocks. Works great if…"

Brad Martin replied to Glenn Scott's discussion 'Can deck jig fastening limit heat expansion?'
"I have a composite decking floor in a garden shed fixed to steel, even out of direct sun and most of the weather it still contracts and expands. While the deck jig puts the boards in nicely and the screws have a good hold and I think my shed would…"

Brad Martin replied to Brandon B.'s discussion 'Missing clamping table project'
"Since it has been deleted from here, Pinterest may be your friend. Assembly Table You need to scroll down near the end of that page to see some more details. BTW it is not my page either."

Brad Martin replied to Todd J's discussion 'Layout/Project Setup Table'

Brad Martin replied to Todd J's discussion 'Layout/Project set up Table'
"I used the Kreg Clamp Track and clamp blocks with Rockler T-track to use their inline clamps so I can use it to make boxes. 2nd bench will be drilled with 3/4 holes at 96mm centres with a downdraft box. I have a panel clamp system that will work…"

Brad Martin replied to Lynn Greff's discussion 'What hinge should I use?'
"I would use 3 concealed hinges each side, exact type depends if your doors are flush with the outside edge or set into the cabinet?"

Brad Martin replied to Ken Kortch's discussion 'Cabinet Hardware Jig - Brad Point Bit vs. Regular Twist Bit'
"Brad point is my choice. Lately I have used a plastic cutting board, no splinters from that and it is easy to replace from the local $2 shop. I would align the end with the rail and centred on the rail your drilling."

Brad Martin replied to Larry Prentice's discussion 'Kreg Corner Clamps?'
"I like the look of the new version better, play the waiting game for Caratec to get them in."

Brad Martin replied to Peter DeGregorio's discussion 'Kreg clamp table - Automaxx screw loosens and clamp wobbles'
"If you don't like Loctite then either changing to a bolt or t-bolt would let you spin the clamp in place to retighten it, you may have to do some grinding to get them to slide and you do defeat the free 360 deg rotation."

Brad Martin replied to Bruno's discussion 'Bench dog holes'
"3/4 or 19mm is the Kreg standard hole size. Festool is 20mm as are most dogs from metric countries. Kreg mobile work centre spacing is 4" I belive and Festool use 96mm with Kreg shelf pin Jig and Bosch guide rail at 32mm can do spaces at 64…"

Brad Martin replied to Larry Prentice's discussion 'Kreg Corner Clamps?'
"I was tempted to spend the AU$60 each to get the two that were at Carbatec Adelaide. I like that there is a cut out that lets you make a t-joint as well. What put me off is that they are ugly looking things. I have clamp track and blocks set up…"

Brad Martin replied to Duane Heda's discussion 'Drawer Slide Jig- is it worth the money?'
"On the Kreg I like that you can reverse the jig to fit the drawers as well, it lacks the repeatability of the Rockler with the adjustable height bar. Rockler you have the bar to adjust height but you have to take the slide apart and you can adjust…"

Kreg Foreman

I have built many kitchens and finally decided to buy the Foreman, because my latest kitchen consisted of 28 cabinets and I was over my hand hurting from all the drilling, moving the clamp etc., it seemed like a smart choice.
