If you've watched the Marc Spagnuolo then you recognize this. I was watching Marc's show and my son loved this piece. So together we built this and most of the joinery we used Kreg's. Marc did a lot of dadoes and we only used one for the slide by doors.

Michael, the advice I have is go slow and take your time clamping. I am still a fan of pocket holes as this does not tie up my clamps. And if you have a buddy, any kids, or a better half that can lend a hand I really recommend that. Sometimes you need three hands on a glue up. Good luck on the glue up and I hope to see some pictures soon. Don't feel bad I love to tell on myself a lot also.

Hey Jim,

Like I said before, love the cabinet. I was wondering if you had any clamping tips/secrets that you would like to share. I started building this cabinet, but opted for dadoes instead of pocket holes concerned about the strength of the joints and my ability to accurately line up the side and middle panels. I LOVE using pocket holes, my only concern is the slaving/drifting of the piece in the direction of the screw. I have used the 90 degree clamp and that has helped greatly, but there is still some small movement, I would appreciate any advice you could offer. The dadoes were oaky, but still a little sloppy if I am being honest. I will construct the piece this weekend and I am sure I can correct and hide my mistakes.

Take care,

Mike

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
