what i really like about this is the way the drawers are made to hold the bits. very it's just what i was envisioning when thinking about my own table stand.

Thanks for the advice. I have a "plunge router". I put it in quotes because that is what others have called it and I have never used a router before so don't know much about them. I just know that my ambitions call for a router table in the future :) I will look up what you are talking about there for the Porter-Cable router and lift. Thanks!

New Yankee Workshop (www.newyankee.com) $10.95 for the plans or $24.95 for plans and DVD. A couple of recommended changes:

1. Use a track for the fence instead of the slot which goes through the top. Saw dust collects in the top drawer on the left and the space on the right (that's where the power cord resides). The track would seal off the top.

2. Maybe not drill so many holes in the plexiglass door until you get the right airflow with your dust collection system.

Also Alan, do you have a router? If not, I would recommentd the Porter-Cable 7518 3.25 hp. You can purchase just the router motor for a dedicated router station. I purchased a reconditioned one and got an even better break on the cost. Finally, the JessEm Mast-R-Lift...excellent piece of equipment.
