Slowly finishing this shop cabinet... in between other projects. Now it has doors and still needs two more drawers.

Welllll... since you mentioned it... I built the center drawers to the dimensions of old tool box trays (the kind that you toss aside when you get a new tool box because they are always in the way) that were gathering dust. The top center drawer holds my stash of Cherry Luden's and the side top drawers are for finishing supplies, good brushes, gloves, etc. But, the side cabinets I wanted to use to stash purchased items like drawer glides, wheels, hinges, etc. so if I needed to exchange something they wouldn't be dusty (receipts are with the Cheery Luden's hee hee). Otherwise, I keep my shop tools under my big momma table. I need to enclose them too because they stay so dusty. My camera went missing but hope to get some more pictures up soon... painted shop cabinet and all!

Kim,
Nice job on the cabinet. I'm sure you already figured out what shop tools will be stored in it by now. Will you be painting or staining/sealing the piece?

This was the first large cabinet I made. I just used basic cabinet making plans after reading the booklet Basic Cabinetmaking by Mark Duginske. It incorporates all pocket hole joinery and shows you how to modify. I just work on it as I have time. Oh, I put it on casters so I omitted the 4 1/2" on the bottom.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
