Ken, by all means you are most welcome to use any of my designs.  I have found that the average length of bar look well with the 6 inch bottom rail.  Another thing that really spices up the panels is the tall and narrow panels.  Thank you for a nice complement as well.  Have any questions about the building of the panel feel free to contact me.

Hi Jay,

I find your cabinet design very attractive.

The narrower vertical raised panel design, gives it a more appealing appearance, as well as the 6'' wide bottom section.

I have plans, in the works, to make a new ''mobile kitchen island'' unit, for my home.

With your permission, I'd like to incorporate your panel design idea, in my new unit.

James, thanks for the kind words towards my work, it is much appreciated.

To expand on your comments, if you just keep your confidense level up you will soon find yourself doing larger and more complicated projects.  I believed that if a person has an interest in woodworking and keeps applying a positive attitude and drive at a bulding a project he will accomplish the things that he desires.

All persons have a certain amount of talents and if your talent did not include woodworking you would not have an interest in it.   It takes practice and a desire to develope any talent and this practice makes each step easier until it become a routine thing that you do.  It is much like a toddler who is first crawling, they finally stand up and take a step and fall.   Even with a struggle they get back up and try again and again and soon they are walking without falling.   It was the desire, then the  practice and confidence that allowed this to happen.

Where many fail is when they  look at a possibility of building a project but then tell themselves that they can not do it because it looks too complicated and then they become the victim of defeat before they even start.

Thoes who do attempt might make mistakes but these mistakes are the best teacher and they learn not to make the mistake again and then learn how to fix the mistake.  When they do this they have learned two things and this is the great teacher of all.  Most never develope their talents and allow them to remain dorment, yhus never really experiencing their own potential.

I have faith in you.
