John I am 68 years old and was a carpenter since I graduated High school. I began with framing houses for developers and graduated into trimming homes for them. Was into home remodeling for the last 15 years before I retired in 2006.

I knew that a rocking chair was not for me so made a wood working shop over my garage. I do have a air filter but use a 16 gal vac (not Very good) for dust collecting, I am in the shop every day when home. I do not think of the wood dust as a problem, for it tells me I must be accomplishing something to make all that dust. I have a HEPA filter and the bags inside. My Table saw makes most of the dust you see. Enjoy your wood working John, you will live longer. And thanks a-lot for your comments.

I also have a shop where it seems that every inch has to do double duty. Your pocket hole jig setup is just what I will do with mine. I have a workbench that folds out from the wall and I will attach my Kreg system in a simular system to what you have done. By your photo it appears that we are are about the same age. I have been working with wood almost all of my life. Now that we have gotten older and more health conscious I have been wondering about all the wood dust that I have inhaled over the years. My small shop does not have room fo a dust collection system. By the amount of dust that can be seen on your walls and ceiling you may not have one either. I also noticed that you had a Craftsman shopvac. I do too. I bought a HEPA filter from Sears that replaces the stock one in my shopvac, and you would not believe the difference it makes. You might want to look into one of them. It would be nice if all the remaining years that we have are all good ones. Thanks for yor idea, it helped me, I hope mine helps you. John Mouser

Looking around your shop, I can see that you have many good ideas for maximizing your space and storage. Thanks for sharing.

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
