Nice, reminds me a bit of the Studley Chest remake of Norm Abram. Everything in their place.

Those black squares (actually, rectangles) are blocks that work with the Klamp Trak.  The track surface is at or below the surface of the table.  The blocks have a t-bolt that fits in the track and spaced where you want them.  They serve to keep the work piece square when it is clamped and screwed.  The photo below illustrates how they work:

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters.  What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much.  Thanks.Continue
