The front and back get the pocket holes (instead of the sides) so that they'll be hidden when the drawer is assembled. The front holes are hidden by the 'false-front' on the drawer.

The Kreg Micro Pocket Hole Jig will allow thinner materials to be used. If you build the front, sides and back to use Pocket Holes, you can then Rout, Plow or Dado in the bottom of the drawer to be held in place by the pocket-hole fastened pieces. A little strategic planning of the placement for the pocket holes will allow all of the pocket holes to be hidden from view when the finished drawer is in its slot. I have been planning my Kreg-built kichen for quite some time...

Kevin... just so you know... they are incredibly heavy when you're all said and done. Strong, no doubt.... but WAY heavy! :) I think I could use them to drive my car up on to change the oil.

I've only done a couple of projects that had drawers, and even then I bluffed my way through them. THIS is how I plan to build them from now on. This is awesome. Looks great.
Thanks!
