Hi David,  This is my method of doing what would be an expensive molding to purchase.  the thing about this is that it is fast and the molding turn out exact each time.  I'm doing several hundred feet of this to trim out all of the doors in a new house.  I am able to make the same molding for about 1/3 of the cost of factory molding.  I looked at the cost and the quality of the molding and had a hard time finding molding that was accurately cut and even the grain colors.  This way I pick and select the grain pattern as well as the color and get good results.

I have made another smaller fluting jig that I have used many times on cabinet building but needed one with a heavier build.  the 1/4 trim router would not stand up to the amount of use I woudl require for this job.  Since I was building it I though that maybe some of the community members might profit from seeing this.

This one can be used on any flat lumber surface up to 9 1/2 inches.  I am sure you could use this on some of your fine dressers and cabinets you build.  Take a look at the slide show and see what you think.  If you are interesed and want more information on parts and how to build this jsut let me know.
