6' round Dining table, top is made out of White Oak and the base is black painted Fir. The top wasn't attached in this picture that's why it's a little off center.

Hey Jay!  Thanks for the comments as always!  I haven't worked with Hickory in a long time, it's really not so available here and not too many people have asked for it.  I hope that you are doing well!!!

Justin I see that you are improving your ability quickly and turning out some fabulous woodworking.  You have always amazed me with some of your projects and it is good to see that you are continuing with your talents and making some stunning products.  A good example is the table above.  Your selection of material is excellent choices with the white oak top know for ages for very strong attractive and long lasting in any furniture and especially with table tops where the top will receive repeated abuse of everyday life.  The fir is a strong and stable wood that will withstand the punishments of everyday use and remain strong and solid for the foundation of the heavy top.  Well built and very attractive.  The other photo of the entertainment center is also not only attractive but is a stunning example of your talents.  Well done Justin.  Are you still working with hickory?  I have done several project using it and still like the durability of the wood as well as the beauty of its grain patterns.  It is also good to see some of the old gang that used to frequent this site and always had some great posts filled with information as well as completed self designed projects.  Keep up the excellent work and I will catch up with you again.
