I have no plans. I just used left over walnut and cherry from cabinets. What I do is decide on what wood, the layout, and start planing the edges in preparation to glue. Use "Titebond 2" glue between each strip of wood, clamp, wipe glue that will squeeze our with a wet cloth, and set for about an hour. Then sand and run through planer (if necessary). Finish with butcher block oil or mineral oil (a few coats as the wood will soak up some of the oil). One way I have found to clean after use is spread coarse sea salt on cutting board then take half of a lemon and lightly scour. Wipe lightly with damp cloth to finish. Never use lacquer or polyurethane to finish the surface.
