I didn't do anything fancy like hooks or brackets... I simply screwed them in using #10 2 1/2 inch screws joining the 2x3 pieces and I think put a 1 1/2 inch kreg washer head screw to secure the drawer box to the rail....
Nothing fancy lol
Thanks for the interest

How did you attach the side tables to the bed?

Keith,
I gave an extra inch to the dimensions provided...so my mattress area on this queen bed was was 60 x 80 1/2... And find there is plenty of room for sheets and what not.
Hope that helps

Hey Wally...I like your design. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a question. I'm about to build a bed with storage underneath. I don't know how much wiggle room would be needed around the mattress to allow for putting on the sheet. How tight did you make yours? Thanks

Theses are the plans I used and I drew my own for the headboard, footboard, and nightstands :)

You did a great job on this bed! The lights and the attached side tables are something I was thinking of doing, too. Do you happen to have any plans for this bed?

Does the screw gun always live there?  ;-)

I love it -- beautiful project.

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
