Thanks, Rick. The wood is spruce panels I picked up at Lowes. The color was a happy accident. I first used Minwax Provincial colored stain but didn't like it (I should've tested a piece of scrap wood first). After letting the project set for a week so I could think about what to do to salvage it, I decided to try a Rustoleum Willow colored stain over the Provincial. This time I used a test piece first and really liked the results.
