I did not stain the wood, just applied multiple coats of home made wiping polyurethane.

Thank you again for the compliments. I used White Oak on the entire hutch except the for the back. .

what did you use for sides and top on base cabinet and also door panels , nice job

Roger , very nice china hutch , great design and nice clean lines  on all the joints , also like the way you run the up rights in the the back middle section , set,s it off nicely , well done thanks for sharing , and happy wood working , JIM !!
