Laura-- Here is a video showing how I would put the drawer in something like this. About the 3:00 mark it shows everything. This is a library table but in woodworking everything is adaptive.

Very nice simple yet elegant table. Instant family heirloom.

I would love to make this exact table, but with a drawer in the middle. Can anyone modify the plans to help me? Thanks!!

Simplicity at its best.  Beautiful design.

Well done.  I like the straight line design and Shaker simplicity

Yes, used a taper jig on the table saw. Works great, the jig is on of my favorite under $100 shop tools. This sled jig also works to put a straight edge rough-sawn boards.

Very nice table!  Did you use a taper jig on a table saw for the legs?

One more hint.   I do not sand lacquer, I use fine steel wool after the first coat and then after each second coat for a total of 5-6 coats ( lacquer smells bad but dries quick, recoat in 10 min). I do polish after the last coat with very fine steel wool to give it a super smooth finish.

Thanks for the comments.

I finished the cherry with lacquer. I don't have a sprayer yet and so I just use spray cans.

I have experimented with lots of brands and Deft has the best spray and finish. I use satin to get the antique look.

Looks Great!  How did you finish the wood?

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
