Dave you could place metal saddles in the concrete then bolt the cedar posts to them.

looks like they are set in concrete. Here is an idea: set some straping in the concrete and then bolt anchor the posts to them.

What kind of wood did you use for the posts? And did you set them in the ground? I'm building a similar arbor and I want to use cedar posts(4x4s), but I'm not sure if they will last in the concrete.

This looks very similar to the arbor that Woodsmith has a plan for.  Is this the same plan an if so how did you use the Kreg Jig on the assembly?
