I originally started with the Kregg, but I do mostly smaller flags which the Kregg is overkill and there is an risk of wood splitting/cracking. I now just glue the strips together before gluing and stapling four straps along the back. You can Kregg the straps together but make sure you stagger the screws at least 5 or 6 inches apart to minimize risk of splitting. I make my flag stripes and back straps 1/2 thick as I like the flags to hug the wall. There are several YouTube videos of how to build the flags using the Kregg or the method I have now switched over to. Don't get me wrong though, I use the heck out of my Kregg.

Kreg Foreman

I have built many kitchens and finally decided to buy the Foreman, because my latest kitchen consisted of 28 cabinets and I was over my hand hurting from all the drilling, moving the clamp etc., it seemed like a smart choice.
