Pallet Wood Ent. Cabinet

Sorry, it’s been a while since I last posted anything. I have been busy getting our new company off the ground.

My wife spotted a cabinet at Home Sense and took a couple of pictures of it and asked me to make one for our family room to put the DVR and Blue Ray in along with some books and such….
I went back and took a few measurements and got to work.
This is another Palette Wood project. A few months back I found a large palette at a company called Felder Equipment it was 4’ x 8’ and the boards were 4/4 thick. I don’t know what species it was but it cleaned up nice and the price was right.
All I have left to do is the chicken wire in the door, I’m having trouble finding the wright size to look good.

All in I have spent about $25 bucks on this project everything except the crown and the hinges was palette wood and leftovers including the paint.

Excellent work on this one Jim.  It is amazing how well you take the old reused wood from something made for a different use and build something of beauty.  I really appreciate the fact that you recycle what becomes most peoples junk and or firewood.  This takes more that just craftsmanship but also an appreciation of what wood really is and the drive and imagination to create from something that was once discarded .  Thank you for sharing your work.

My mind is blown with this one.  Furnitures having an old feel always get my utmost admiration.

Continue making amazing projects!
