the drawer boxes are complete and ready for sanding. Think I will route a little piece of trim for the underside of the top to dress it up a bit. I'll use pocket holes to join pieces for the top, sand, finish and they'll be complete. instead of metal slides, i used wood runners and stops. once waxed, they should work great.

I used a couple of really beautiful 1x12 in white knotty pine from the lumber yard to rip almost all the pieces. drawer boxes are 3/4" birch.

unfortunately, i split the legs in 2 places when i screwed into them a little bit hard; had to back out the screws, break the split, then glue, clamp and sand my way through. bought a cool dowel jig awhile back; in the split-then-fixed areas, i just used dowels and glue. looks great :-)
