Kitchen Bar

I made this for my mother for her apartment. It is a very small place and since the kitchen and living room is all in one room I thought to maximize the living room and to add more counter space and storage space that this would work good. In fact it worked out great. I also made the stools for her bar as well. She has not stop talking about it since I set it up at her apartment. The bar measurements are 36"H x 16"W (Base)24"W (Counter Top) x 48"L. The stools are 25"H seats with half backs on them. I am so proud of this build and loved how it turned out. She has been asking everyone in her apartment building to come and look at it.

I love your kitchen bar set.  What a wonderful gift for your mother!  I would love to make a set.  Have plans/mat list for this by any chance?  I would be happy to purchase if you do.  TY for the share

Hello Ray Metzler I wanted to get back to you about the questions you had about my bar. For this project I made the framing of the base out of pine and the panels were bead board paneling. The counter top is made of birch plywood with pine wood wrapped around it. The stain that was used on the counter supports and counter top is minwax early American. The base of the bar was black onyx high gloss interior paint. Hope this helps you with your questions. If you have anymore questions please let me know. Thanks

Very nice Mike, I'm curious what wood did you choose and shat finish for the black cabinet, as well did you make that table top? I'd like to try something similar, I can make my own plans with dimensions i need but some tips on material and finish will certainly help me out.

Wow! I could use one of those. That's a plan I'd be willing to pay for. Willing to share?

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
