Here is  the jig in action.  I dedicated this router to this jig for convenience.

Thanks Stanley.  I made a router jig that works similar to a compass.  I'll post some pics of the jig when I have a little more time.  It's an essential jig for doing this kind of work.

My own design based on things I've seen on the internet. I did draw it up in Chief Architect. I may post that drawing later.

I am not sure if the plugs are good outside? Also by the time you put them in - at least in the horizontal sections - it may be easier to put on a trim strip - weather treated and routed. Just an observation - again beautiful job.

Yes, John. I'm going to use pocket plugs. The pockets are on the back side of the gate.

Nice. Did you ever consider using trim to cover some of the pockets?
