Looks amazing.Nice job.Coffee tables and end tables are items of occasional furniture that should match with the other furniture in your living room.

Steven, I used a wood conditioner first, then one coat of Minwax English Chestnut Stain, then 4 coats of semi-gloss polyurethane.

Justin, I think they were probably stud grade, but I'm not sure. I just took the plans into the lumber yard and they picked out the wood for me. They knew I was making furniture, so they selected good wood.

Stain?

Do tell me, as I am stuck at finishing wood nowdays.

Great looking pieces of furniture! Beautiful wood and finish, like the design especially the drawers for additional storage. Great job!

Are those just standard stud grade?  I ask because it looks great and I'd like to replicate the look as much as I can.

Justin, my local lumber yard ripped the 2x4s for me.

Nice job Erin. I agree with Jay that you did a great job on finishing. That final stage can make or break the looks of a project. Your finish definitely adds a lot to the tables. Keep up the good work!

Just out of curiosity, did you cut your own 2x2's down from 2x4s?

Erin, very nice.  I am planning the same project and will use yours as inspiration.  I really like your choice of finish and the changes you made to the coffee table storage drawer.  (My simple mind is unfamiliar with the word "trundle" so I'll stick with storage drawer, lol)
