Comment by Dave on February 23, 2015 at 9:00am: Marcus - I modified the original plans because I didn't care for their solution. I actually just used a 3/4" dowel rod cut to about 2 inches long. I drilled a hole in the side pieces at 3 different heights and that way I can move the dowel rod up and down and the mattress frame sits on top of them. If I remember, I can try to post a picture for you so it make more sense.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
