finished credenza. solid wood maple doors and front panels finished with mahogany stain and high gloss poly wipe-on finish. Submerged/sunken top 2 inches with felt covering. Mexican pebbles cover the felt with 2" thick bamboo sticks coming from underneath pebbles to ceiling. Making it look like a faux planter for bamboo trees.
Comment by Daniel Sinclair on February 8, 2013 at 10:05am Gary, very nice piece!
Quick question: are those plans made on 'google sketchup', or something different? (I've tried playing with sketchup, but with no success as of yet, but mostly because I haven't dedicated any real time to playing with it.) Thanks. -Dan
Comment by Gary B. on February 8, 2013 at 4:53pm Dan, I did the plans in photoshop. It allowed me to have layers so that I can layer one plan on top of another. Sort of peeling back the front to reveal the insides and then the back. But mostly I used photoshop because I am familiar with it and know how to use it. I am sure there are better tools for the job.
