Thanks Jay, was a lot of fun and challlangeing in many ways. Took us three years to restore as finding parts was a trip. Wanted to keep her all original. Maybe if they do a Waltons revisited my truck can star in the role. Thanks again.

Brian nothing wrong with having a deck that is portable.  Looking at this it seems apporiate for a truck of this stature to have a deck to enjoy the mobility with.  It is a very clean and attractive looking 1948 truck of which someone has pride in and took some time to care for it.  The addition of a nice looking bed greatly improves its look and gives you a bed of which you can be proud of.  It should give you years of service.  Reminds me of the  "Waltons" truck they hauled lumber on from their saw mill.  Nice project  and proves that the kreg deck tool will find a use for in the automotive field as well as in the back yard.  Thanks you for sharing your work and a great looking truck.
