I heard a story about a guy who had been a carpenter for 40 years and cut his finger off in a table saw. What really mad him mad was he cut it off crooked. He said what will people think after 40 years and I cut it crooked.
The most important thing is hopefully you learned from it, now take care of it and keep sawdust out of it.
Loohk at it this way, It's something to look forward to, eventually it will stop hurting
