Made this with yellow and white pine, using a plan from Winfield Collections !!! Also made the back section a little thicker, added more screws to the back and seat slats and used a lot of Kreg screws for the main frame!! Stained with Golden Oak and put on two coats of varnish to protect it from the weather !!

Jay , thanks for you very nice  comments on my glider !!!!  Yes some times I do get a customer that will bring me a plan and ask me to make it for them , most of my projects are my own design !!!  I did call the company that made this plan , their tec. did take the time to return my call and listen to the changes that I made, even liked some of them !!!  I did make the back section thicker and added more screws, also used Kreg screws to put the main frame together!!!  I do like to design my own projects , but do not like to ask other wood workers for their plans , but do like to comment on how good their projects are built !!!  Also like to recycle crate boards to make many projects , just an old country wood worker that likes to make people happy with my projects , Have a good day , JIM !!!

Jim, this is a well designed and crafted glider.  The color is rich making this a eye catching piece.  Excellent work as you always do and this would make anyone proud and happy to have the ownership of such a work of craftsmanship.   Even thought this is made from a plan a person can see the difference between it being well executed than one that is just thrown together.  It is the little things that a person whom has the desire to create, does in its build that sets this apart from the 10 thousand others that will be made from the plan.  Thanks Jim for showing some more of your work.

Hi Leslee, thanks for the nice comments on my glider, this is # 3  all the screw holes are pluged, bought a plug cutter so I could make them from the same wood to match , lots of holes, HA!!!  The only metal showing are the bolts for the bracket,s , have a great day , JIM !!!

I was going to make one from the old one I have in the back yard that is made of metal and wood. I do like your glider, Jim. You did a really nice job on it. I like the dowel covers on the arms that is really nice craftsmanship. I hope you get your moneys worth on the hours of enjoyment of building such a beautiful glider.  Thanks for sharing and giving me a note.
