This is how it all started:
In 1967, Craig Sommerfeld designed and built this clock in his freshman shop class. He entered it in a competition at The Iowa Industrial Arts Show at UNI (University of Northern Iowa) and was awarded first place.

Thanks for posting this, I always like to know the history of the companies I do business with.  Graig is a very smart man.

Yes we know that the "Whistle pulls the train."  What about the history of all the forgotten good people that worked there to make the company what it is today and don't forget about the customers that have been loyal all these years.

Hi Jay.  We definitely have more stories to come about the history of Kreg Tool Company, its employees, and customers, as we continue to celebrate our 25-year anniversary throughout 2015. We know that we wouldn't have made it to this point without fantastic employees, great dealers, and amazing customers. With this photo, we just wanted to share a bit of fun history about the first project that inspired Craig to take up woodworking.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters.  What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much.  Thanks.Continue
