My wife bought me a small craftsman table saw. That said the fence system is TERRIBLE!!! The saw cuts fine except for the fence. I have looked at YT at videos on the biesmeyer fences. Saw a video at supercool tools.com on a new fence system they have Has anyone seen the video and made a rail system like they show. Trying to figure a way to make a new table system and add one of these rail systems to my existing saw. Any thoughts and plan ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Jayson,

The cost of a good quality fence, may be nearly the cost of an inexpensive table saw.

I checked out the video you mentioned above.  It looks like a very compelling option- and very solidly built.  I bought an Incra fence system for my table saw last year, and it is just awesome.  It takes up a bit more space to the side of the saw, but the accuracy is just unmatched.  I guess it depends on what you want to do with the fence.  The Incra fence will allow you to cut to 1/32" accuracy by using the scale on the fence.  The one you mention above looks like it has a lot of flexibility for attachments.

Jason,

I own a 14 year old craftsman saw also and although the fence is not the best it can be adjusted. I find myself making an adjustment 3-4 times a year.

Whenever I can afford it I also will invest in an incra.

Here is the saw if that fence adjusts I can't figure out how.
I want to be able to build something around it that has wheels and I can ditch the legs that came with the saw.

Jayson,

The instruction manual describes how to adjust the fence.
