sale or trade site

  does anyone know if there is a  for sale or trade site here at kregs. where fellow woodwokers could buy  sale or trade items to one another any info would apper.   thanks

Hi Steven - Hmmm, now that you mention it there doesn't seem to be a classified section here. May be an idea to repost this down in the "Community Specific" section.

I think there was a discussion about that type of site over yr ago and nobody thought of it as a good idea on account of  how  handle the money

What money??? All the other sites I'm on the only thing a classified section does is provide a way for the members buying and selling to link up.. Did this site want to charge a listing fee or something???

there doesnt have to be any transactions  by kreg just the partys  involved... i was concern if kreg had legal issues....

Yes just between parties KREG would not have been involved at all.

I think this is a good idea.  The main concern I have about this is that the main forum feed on the main page of the site automatically publishes the most recently commented posts (with the current setting) and we wouldn't want those full of 'sales'.  I think for the time-being at least it might make more sense to do these types of transactions on Ebay, Craigslist, and other forum communities.  If I find a better way to implement this, it's certainly a possiblity.  We know there is a demand at this point.
