How do you set the jig to drill the hole to attach a 45 degree angle to another 45 degree angle. I tried with out success.

45 to 45 isn't difficult, just clamp the board in the jig with the cut face down.  You have to watch the hole position and screw length very carefully as you quickly run out of wood on the recieving piece as you approach the pointy part. If you are doing smaller frames, < 2-1/2" wide, you may be best off with a micro jig. I don't like using pockets on small frames, 1 to 1-1/2" as there is usually only room for one pocket unless you bring one screw in from each side of the corner.  That is to say pockets in the rails and the stiles. That gets a little dicey keeping them from running into each other.
