Kreg Owners' Community

I just heard a rumor that Kreg is handling distribution/support for Triton equipment. Anyone else heard anything?  Would make a great match for the router tables.

Hi John,

I heard that from someone at HTC, the former USA distributor of Triton routers, etc.

BTW, I've seen your postings at routerforums.com.  Thank you for your contributions in this forum and that forum.

Hi Richard - Dunno about Triton. Been wanting to get my hands on their 2-1/4 hp version... things were all over the place last spring and early summer, now they are nowhere to be found. Conversley, the 3-1/4 couldn't be had before about September now they are everywhere.

I enjoy routerforums, lot of unique information over there. A lot going on here about using the pocket hole jig. Some of these guys put out some amazing stuff with pocket screws.

Wow - 2-1/2 months... wonder how I missed this. Can we assume the products will be marketed through the Kreg site?

I already have the 10" sliding compound miter saw and the JOF001, 1.33 HP router. Dust collection on the router is phenomenal. That's why I'm kinda looking for it's big brother.

Website wasn't a heck of a lot of help but I did find availdistribution through it.
The only brick and mortar seems to be in Huxley. Well, that's only 300 miles from me...hmmmm.

Hi John,

Woodcraft sells Triton routers and has had sales on them since the summer.  First it was the 12 amps model #MOF001; then it was the #JOF001  9 amps 1.33 HP plunge router (which I bought for my first router); and, now until Nov. 23 Woodcraft has the #TRC001  3-1/4 HP Plunge Router @ $199.99 in limited quantites.

Hi Richard - I have the JOF, you could do a heck of a lot worse for a first router. I was really impressed with the dust collection. Festool might be better but not for their prices. I saw the Woodcraft add and am sorely tempted but hard to justify. It's really to big for hand held use and I already have a Freud 3000 for my table. I'm kinda looking for a MOF if it has similar dust collection to the JOF,  Don't really need another router, already have 8... I must be catching Bj-itis.  The biggest shortfall I found on the JOF is the lack of ability to take on guide bushings. Modifying a Milescraft baseplate is easy enough to do though. Only took about 45 minutes and I got the edge guide/circle cutter incorporated.
