<p>I have gone with edge fitting and then offsetting the 16mm melamine side to avoid the screw heads fouling it. I also have a t-trak so I can clamp boxes that runs aprox 100mm from the clamp blocks. I don't know of any industry standard on this issue; I believe it's whatever dimension that works best for you.
