Joining a 2x4 stud to 3/4" common board -what are the right settings?

Joining a 2x4 table apron to a 3/4" stock table top. I 've done lot of research and can't find a consensus for the jig and collar settings and screw size. Has anyone ever joined these two sizes and what setting did you use?

Breanna,

When it comes to joining materials of different thicknesses, it’s a good idea to test screw length. Do this by drilling in to a test piece(s). The typical rule is as follows: Set your Kreg Jig® for the thickness of material you are drilling the pocket hole in. Then, choose screw size based on thickness of the mating piece the screw will be entering in to.

Your 2x4 table apron should be approximately 1 1/2" thick (see attached chart). If you are drilling in to the table apron, set your jig for 1 1/2" material and use 1/4" screws. If you are drilling into the 3/4" stock, set your jig for 3/4" material and use 2 1/2" screws.
