anyone?

Hi, I take it you are putting the pocket in the 2 inch piece. I'm thinking that would take a 2 inch screw.  Not sure though, my jig is out in the shop and I didn't memorize the table. My local stores are pretty grim in their selection of Kreg products. I've had to build an inventory through internet purchase. Sears just had a big memorial day sale on Kreg screws @ 50% off so I stocked up on Blue Kotes.

For a punt, you may be able to get some SPAX screws the right length at Home Depot or somewhere. It would help to know where you are or at least what vendors you have readily available.

I'd probably use 2-1/2" screws set for 1.5 material,  What are all three dimensions of the pieces you're trying to join?

It's hard to visualize because a piece 2" thick could be anything.  How wide is it?  How long is it?  Same with the 5x5...
