Hi everyone;
I have assembled an oak "butcher block style" table top to which I plan on installing the Kreg Klamp Tracks. I didn't have the extra $400 to buy the assembly so decided to use my extra oak pieces. The dilemma is how to mount the table... measuring 1 3/4 inches by 24 inches by 36 inches to a free standing set of legs. I had an old Shopsmith Joint-Matic that was mounted on a metal-legged base. There are four strategically placed holes on the base... the question is what do your recommend to mount the heavy oak table? I thought about Tee Nuts but don't want to penetrate the top and spoil the nice surface. I also thought of lag screws placed into lead receivers on the underside of the table... any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated thanks. When I finish the project I'll include some photos!!

Hi John,
Sorry I don't have the exact link address, but check out "The Wood Whisperer" podcast entitled "tapping wooden threads". It's very inexpensive to do and super strong. It's also nice if you ever need to move your bench or make a change.
