My buddy and I just finished building the harvest dining room table and bench for my daughter's family new home. The kreg jig HD made the project go very smoothly and saved a lot of time. We built it in an open garage on December 2014.
It took us 12 hours to built. We assembled the 4x4 base first and table top and bench seats at the end. We suggest that when you are building the table, that you make the table top removable from the base, so that when you move it to another home, it would be easy to get through doorways and less heavy.
In regards to the end apron pieces. Since pocket hole supports with the jig are weak, we suggest installing gusset plates between the apron member and table top and attach them to the 4x4 legs. This will make the aprons end pieces stronger.
In Toronto Canada, the cost of the dressed pine material came to $400.00. This table is solid and will last for a life time and more. I enjoyed building this table and my daughters family are very pleased with their new dining room table. If any questions please reply. I will post pics later.
Thx
