Hello All,

I have a electric Foreman. I have had it for a few years now. Has anyone else had a issue with when you clamp the piece of wood and start drilling the pocket hole that the wood moves?

It only moves about 2-4mm but its enough to catch it with your eyes. It dosent matter have tight I have the clamp it still does it.

Any idea?

Thanks Troy

Hi Troy,

What size work-pieces are you drilling?

While drilling, take notice if there is any other component that appears to be moving.

When you perform the drilling operation, allow the drill speed to get up to full rpm---

then slowly engage the drilling bit into the work-piece.

Sometimes, when I've been in a hurry, and just rush into drilling the pocket hole,

I've noticed a slight movement---like you mentioned, but it didn't seem to effective the results of the drilled pocket hole.

I've had the Electric Foreman, when it first came on the market.

Mine performs great.

Love this machine.

Troy,

Due to the torque of the motor, your piece can move slightly once the bit is entering the wood.  This will not affect the drilling of the pocket hole and is considered normal drilling operation.  if you have any other questions please let us know.
