I am trying to mimic the finish on the metal plates behind the drawer pull in the attached picture.  This is on a china cabinet we purchased decades ago as part of a dining room set.  I am currently building a matching side board table with two drawers and would love to be able to match the finish.

My wife used a spray paint on our air conditioning vents that gave then a stone look and I seem to recall something to make the weathered copper type finish shown, but cannot find it locally in big box, hardware, craft or paint stores.

Perhaps a several stage finish with a turquoise base coat then gray and black splatter paint (if I can find those).

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, Don

I've seen similar finishes using garage floor epoxy. You might look to that or possibly counter refinishing.

I found a system using three paint colors that mimics copper patina on line.  I'm going to give that a try.  I also found rust-oleum has a packaged set to create copper patina, but have not been able to find it locally.  Hopefully the three paint system will work.

thanks, Don
