Dear Kregeers,
I would like to try and build a farmhouse table with extensions in the middle to seat 12.
I have seen some plans on Ana White and Buildsomething, along with others. Unfortunately, most, if not all the plans are for extensions at the ends of the table.
Is there any one that could make some plans for me? Of course, I am willing to pay for the plans.
I know I need to buy some slider hardware and stablilizers- Rockler?
I would really appreciate an direction I may receive from those of you that have more experience than I do.
I am not an expert by any means, but I have used a drill, saw, hammer, etc. I bought a Kreg master Jig set, clamps, nail case with assorted Kreg screws, and the saw rip guide.
Your assistance will be appreciated. Thanks!

I have built one of these in the past, you need hardware for the sliding mechanism for sure. The average table that I make is 36" wide and 72" long. Figure a 1" to 1 1/2" overhang on all sides for your top. Based on 1" overhang, your base needs to measure 34" wide and 70" long, your leg size will determine what your apron sizes will be. Your long side aprons will need to be cut in half in order to slide apart, the table top needs to be made at least an inch or two wider than what you'll need and will need to be cut in half. Once you get the base and top done, lay your top upside down on the workbench and then place your base on top, to install the sliding mechanism. You will need to make your leaves or leaf depending, open your table up and put your leaf inside, NOW is the time to cut your top to width, with the leaf/leaves inside of it. You will need to mark locations for dowels/etc. for when the top is closed. I make my leaves with a side apron that is held on with table top fasteners. Hope this helps!

Any plans available? Worked with wood before. Just got my Kreg5. Have a camp in the Adirondacks. Workshop there.
