<p>I would use the square pattern dog holes in my bench with a dog fence ( could use Kreg dogs also ) and Kreg inline clamps. Ratio to get to 45D is 1:1 so say 2 holes across and 2 holes up to place a dog and 5 holes across and 5 holes up to place the other dog. I would try a bar clamp to line the top up first and if that wasn't good enough you could make a clamping block from scrap.</p>
