Has anyone used one of the Kreg Universal Stand configurations as the base for a miter saw workstation with fold down wings? I scrolled through the pics in the community and all I saw were using a DIY base cabinet. I have an extra Kreg router table stand base that I want to make use of. Thanks

I really liked the posting of the Miter Saw Dust Hood and the detailed instructions. I sat down and took all the dimensions and "built" the Hood on the Google (now Trimble) Sketchup. It's complete with dimensions on cut sheet and Kreg Pocket Holes in place and an assembled unit as well. If anyone would find it useful, I'd be happy to upload it to anyone. I have pictures as well if you would like to take a look at it. The best thing about using Sketchup is the ease at making changes if…

I have pictures as well if you would like to take a look at it. The best thing about using Sketchup is the ease at making changes if you wanted it larger to accommodate a 12" Miter Saw or change just a few of the characteristics. I might be giving this a shot myself, but a heavily modified version since my saw 12" and is mounted on a metal frame stand, If I do, I'll post the results here. I have the Kreg Jig K5 Pocket-Hole System and love it, I have used it extensively and maybe I should send in some pictures of my projects sometime.
Precision Miter Gauge & table saw blade guardtag:kregjig.ning.com,2016-06-05:2900167:Topic:8279972016-06-05T16:47:33.705ZRandy Wildebrandthttps://kregjig.ning.com/profile/RandyWildebrandt

On Page 8 of the Owner's Manual I'm supposed to place the end of the fence 5/8" from the saw blade. When I do that the fence interferes with the blade guard. The blade guard on this saw extends about 1 1/4" from the blade. I've already applied the self adhesive tape to the fence. …
